I especially like the connection between movement patterns and coordination. Strength that doesn’t transfer into better movement is a pretty limited kind of fitness, particularly as the goal shifts from performance to staying useful in everyday life.

Thanks; in short, my approach is that exercise is a function of movement - the better we can move, the more successful the outcome of an exercise program. 1) teach the movements. 2) load the movements 3) perform the movements at a variety of velocities - that was the basic structure of the programming model I created for the ACE certification (and it's the basic model of sports competency & LTAD taught by Soviet sport scientists in the 60s).
